Western Cup 2026 - Soccer Tournament Information

Back for Year Two — and We Couldn’t Be More Excited

Welcome to the 2026 Western Cup Soccer Tournament, presented in partnership with Friends of Apollo. We’re excited to host teams from across the community for a fun, inclusive, and competitive weekend of soccer as part of Western Cup’s multi-sport festival.

Below is everything you need to know about the soccer portion of the event.

📅 Tournament Dates & Game Windows

All matches will be played at:

Villains Dome 830 59 Ave SE, Calgary, AB

Friday, April 3

3:30 PM - 8:30 PM

• 60-minute matches
• Scheduled in 75-minute time slots to allow for transitions

Saturday, April 4

12:00 PM - 5:00 PM

• Final round-robin matches
• Championship finals
• Same 75-minute time slot structure

A full schedule will be released once all teams have completed registration.

? Tournament Format

• Team Fee: $600
• Guaranteed: 4 round-robin games
• Includes: facility rental + referees
• Finals: Saturday afternoon
• Medals: Provided courtesy of Western Cup / Friends of Apollo

📝 Team Activation & Player Registration

All registered teams should have received an activation link from CUSA.

Teams must:

• Activate their team
• Register all players
• Ensure roster numbers are accurate

Accurate rosters are required for scheduling, facility access, and match operations.

If you did not receive your activation link, please contact us immediately.

🏟? Facility Information - Villains Dome

• Indoor turf surface
• Clean indoor turf shoes or runners only
• No metal cleats
• Teams should arrive 15 minutes before kickoff
• Warm-up space may be limited
• Spectators welcome (space is limited around the boards)

All social programming — including Thursday, Friday, and Saturday events — is hosted directly by Western Cup / Friends of Apollo.
