Facility specific guidelines are also listed on the information tab for your program.  Please ensure you review and understand each venues operational procedures.

 

Reminders for all prior to arrival at your game.  To control numbers at all the venues do not enter the facility until 15 minutes prior to your kick off.

  Self-screening must be completed by all players prior to every game . If any player is experiencing symptoms at the field, the team contact must send them home immediately. Your cohort must follow the procedures you outlined in the CSA self assessment tool. Contact tracking must be used for each session. 

 Thoroughly wash your hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, or use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer that contains at least 60% alcohol. Bring your own sanitizer. Players should wash their hands again, as soon as possible after each field session.

 Using a face mask covering the mouth and nose is required when not playing, including arriving, and departing the field.  All non playing team officials must wear a mask during the game or practice.

 We ask spectators to respect physical distancing protocols as outlined currently by AHS. Children on the sidelines are expected to be supervised by a non playing adult at all times.   No spectators at Macron facility at this time.

 Maintain the 6 foot distancing from anyone not in your designated cohort. 

Ensure soccer shoes are clean before entering pitch!

Rules of Play:

7v7 games will align with Alberta Soccer's rules for the Modified Boardless Game

All games will start on time as per the time clock. Teams will be allowed a grace period of 5 minutes after the designated kick-off time to comply with all rules.

The match will be officiated by two officials whenever possible. 

Duration of League games shall be 2- 25-minutes halves, with a maximum 3-minute rest period between the halves.

Teams will be allowed 4 substitutions at a time.

  • Teams in Over 45 will be allowed unlimited substitutions at a time, at the discretion of the Assistant Referee.

The ball is out of play when it touches the ceiling or building structure overhanging the field of play. 

  • Restart: Throw-in to the opponents of the player last touched the ball, at the touchline closest to where the ball touched the ceiling or structure. 

The offside rule which was previously used is no longer in effect. NO offside.

  • Goalkeepers can play the ball out in whichever way they want, including punting/drop-kicking.
  • Goal kicks may now first-bounce anywhere on the field, no restrictions.

Until the ball is in play, all opponents must remain at least 5 yards from the ball, unless they are on their own goal line between the goal posts.

If a player is sent off, their team is to play one player short for the remainder of the game. 

  • Teams who receive more than 2 red cards in the same game will be required appear at a Discipline Hearing prior to next match and could face further sanctions.

Should there be a conflict between the information above and that contained in the Rules and Regulations, the Rules and Regulations will govern.
